So you want to know who Medli is? Well in the game she's an earth sage but she doesn't quite find that out towards the middle part of the game. She's part of the Rito tribe who lives on Dragon Roost Island with the guardian Valoo in which Medli is the attendant. Since no one can understand Valoo her purpose is to help translate (since he speaks Hylian) what he's saying to the Rito tribe. She wants to continue to be a better attendent, following in the footsteps of Komali's grandmother. She's also Prince Komali's guide, trying to always show him in the right direction. She carries a harp on her back, it's her most treasured possession and plays a big part of what happens later on to her. The Rito tribe has the ability to fly in which they gain from Valoo at the right age, her tribe also plays a big part in the mail system that's used in the game as well, just a little side note.
