Explainations of characters (with a bit of my opinions thrown in there) involved in RE4.

Leon Scott Kennedy: The main character of Resident Evil 4. Leon was few of many who survived the tragedy in Raccoon City six years ago. Ever since then he's been working to stop Umbrella, and has joined a secret organization headed directly by the President Of The United States. His first mission is to rescue the President's daughter when she suddenly goes missing. He now finds himself in a lonely part of Europe searching for any clues of her dissapearance. Leon is and always has been a righteous character, he'll do anything for anyone no matter what, to ensure their safety. He was a part of the Raccoon City Police Department, and on his first day he got caught up in the virual outbreak back then. Even when it was it first day on the job, Leon stopped at nothing to assure safety of others. At the same time, very bluntly put, he's a dork XD he really does have the greatest lines, and I just think it's a part of who he is. His heart is always in the right place though and it seems that he's gone through some intense training throughout his years since Raccoon which makes it suitable that he's in the position that he is in right now.

Ashley Graham: The young girl who disappered/was kidnapped suddenly when coming home from her college in Massachusetts. She is found being captive in a church under the cultists called the Los Illuminados. Her and Leon were both infected by the Las Plagas and now haunt their bodies. Ashley, personally I'd have to say, is a brave individual. I know many people dislike her because of her sterotypical blondeness and OMGZ DAMSEL IN DISTRESS!11 But I don't find her to be that way, I think given her circumstances, she acted very brave and helped out a considerable amount during the game. I also think she's funny at times, and overall a good character that often gets bashed for her so called sterotype. I just think Ashley is a good portrayal of a person who gets caught up in something much more massive than she realizes.

Luis Sera: Tied up and locked in a closet, Luis meets Leon while he's attempts to save him. Just as Luis thinks he's out of the hole he's dug for himself the Village Chief shows up and knocks both Leon and Luis out. Luis says he's just a cop mixed up in the whole affair, but seems to know too much about the situations around him. He's actually a researcher hired by Saddler, who wasn't exactly doing as told. Luis feels regret for the research he was involved in and so tries to help both Ashley and Leon out with the infection going on within their bodies. He's a good character, pretty funny too, I think it was very noble of him to help out and try to atone for his past mistakes and at the same time dying for them.

Ada Wong: The mysterious woman that Leon met in Raccoon City is back in this game. Ada was supposedly killed back in incident of Raccoon, but since was rescued by Wesker and has been working under him since. Somehow she meets up with Leon once again and protects him behind the scenes, giving him clues, and saving him every so often. Ada and Leon share a very special connection since the day they first met in Racoon City, and even though Ada seems as if she's against Leon, she's just very secretive because she works for certain people. In reality, both of them really care for one another, and for that reason alone Ada cannot be fully trusted by anyone she works for. Ada is in the same situation as Leon, but she is there to retrieve the sample that Saddler created to bring back to Wesker.

Jack Krauser: An old comrade of Leon's, he works under Saddler. Not much is really known of what happened between Leon and Krauser back in their days together, but they were obviously friends at some point. Leon was told that Krauser had died in a crash a couple years prior to the events in RE4. Krauser is resonsible for the kidnapping of Ashley in order to gain trust in Saddler so he could take the sample, though Saddler never bought his act in the first place. Krauser is obviously someone who's been through a lot in his life, you could see by the scar marks on his face that he's a veteran of war, and seems to be excellent in knife combat like that of Leon. I'm under the impression that both of them had trained side by side at some point learning the same techniques since both are skilled with the knife. Krauser might have been with Wesker all along, even when he knew Leon but never fessed up, or had decided to change sides all along. It seems Krauser was trying to help the rebirth of Umbrella much like Wesker. His plans to get the sample and to kill both Ada and Leon failed since Leon 0wned his ass XD but I really love Krauser, he's one of my favorite characters!
